60mm or 40mm That is the question?

if you can get 50mm kits for it then id go for that although you will get slight rubbing on turning sharply, and if you carry people in the back.

i had my 1.4 lowered 70mm roughly on the front with 15s and it didnt rub at all..just your luck, good thing about coilovers is you can adjust it if its too low/too high etc..

Rich, tell him to get coilovers ;). If you are lowering 60mm, you will need to cut the driveshaft balancing weight, grind down some of the front arch plastic liner, and possibly grind away some of the back arch.

Put simply, 40mm is a more reasonable for a daily driver. For reference mine is -55mm, but is on 16's and not 17's.

I've dropped mine 60mm with 17's on... thats all I've had to do is trim the inner lip of the arch (because my wheels are et45) and modify some of the arch lining...but it does rub slighly on full lock. plus i've only got 2 seats so I dont know what it would be like with a full car.

I tried mate, but it wont go  . Not even another -5mm. Because then the middle of my tyre scrubs on a random mould in the arch liner. The outside of the tyre scrubs on the arch when the wheel is turned any more then 45 degrees. And the back makes a dodgy knocking noise.

Also my car only JUST makes it out of my Uni multi story car park. Honestly you couldn't fit a silver Rizzla into the gap between my splitter and the ground  . Will have to take a pic one day.
