Gear Knob problems! !

hay all. just bought the above for my Leon FR Mk1 its a gear knob off a mk2 leon the FR Gear Knob!!

just a quick one. how the hell do you get the gear knob off the stick?! on my Mk1 leon?! to put this in its place?!

There's a single use clip on the bottom of the knob. I managed to prise mine off, then fitted it to the new knob before putting it back on the stick, then tapped it on.

thats a great help. do i need one of those use once clips then?? if so where do i get one? am guessing that is the metal clip not the black plastic one?!

If you only get the TOP of the Gear Knob without the Gear Stick Gaiter, then you will need to get hold of this part '5P0 711 693'. It's so the top of your Gear
Stick Gaiter will fit around the base of your NEW Gear Knob, as the old one that you have at the moment will be TOO big to fit around it. But if you get the Gear Knob with the Gaiter aswell then you will no need to worry. As for the single use clip, I did not bother with mine. If you push down HARD on the new one when fitting it, it should stay in place. I have had no worries with mine yet! Good luck
