After owning my cupra trouble free for a year (except replacing a mouldy back-box) and using it to get to uni and back 3 times a week (60 mile round trip) i decided it was time to get it remapped as i was getting bored and considering getting something else.

Got in touch with p-torque, got a quick reply and he had be booked in withing 2 days (15mile away). Went down there today, drove my car in and waited in the very nice waiting room with dvd's mags etc for an hour and it was done.

Car feels so very much better now, lots of extra power/torque with a nice smooth delivery and now pulls really hard way past where it used to feel very flat. 3rd gear is very impressive with the extra power and torque

Hope to get a fmic, tip, dv, suspension and exhaust sooner rather than later (anybody with these bits for sale pm me!) now and get it on the rollers when p-torque gets that all up and running.

So, im a happy chap with the car now and i can reccomend p-torque to anybody in the market for a remap for their car as he seems like a top bloke who knows what hes doing.

be interested to see the figures as there has been alot of "discussion" or "debate" should i say the least with slightly less known tuners than the usual commercial lot like Revo, Jabba etc, and how good tuners like P torque, BAS etc actually are.

I'm sure they are good, but you know what people are like with how "much" BHP etc etc is extracted from their specific tune

be nice to see another up and coming tuner

excellent be very interested Dan......

got similiar set up to you, just cone filter, milltek cat back and forge 007....

tip is ready to go on but not got it on yert..

Can you fit the TIP without having a FMIC? I heard its a real problem if you dont have one? (FMIC)

Yep, rolling road is on 31st so results we be up the week after. Havent had mine rr'd without any probs to the car yet. Ive always had issues previously hence not having great figures.

Yeah its fine now, It boosts really well and is very 'torquey' through the gears. I think my MAF is a bit suspect though, Twice now under full load its died on me and gone into limp mode yet, unplug the maf and plug it back in and the boost comes back.

Cant remember who said about the TIP, One of those rumours u hear I think, Just heard its a real bugger to get on without an FMIC.

Both are on my to do list, just need the money to do it!

Nice to meet you too and thanks :)

Took a friend out in it tonight and he was suitably impressed with the difference its made (hes been driving a 400bhp cosworth around of late).

Well, im sure when someone gets a p-torque mapped car on the rollers (or when p-torque gets the rollers up and going) we will see some figures, but rr's are a lottery so comparing one with the other is hard when so much can be different like the rr, operator, cars spec and condition etc etc. Plus what do preak bhp figures mean if the car then drives like a pig?

Anyway, im very happy with my car and how it feels to me now so i suppose thats whats important, the numbers will just back that up

the only way, unfortunately without getting shot down on these forums with RR figures and being told it is all a "lottery" is where you get the car mapped is to get it on the rollers at that tuning place

so at least it does give you some more accuracy on the actual figures (theoreticially) instead of having it tuned at one place and the RR at another, as it will be a different day, ambient temps etc etc which could effect the end result

end of the day, if you notice a considerable difference after the map then that is all that counts
