Rear spacers

Since having the chip done, the car cannotr now handle its 233BHP very well.

Can someone please tell me what spacers people are firtingl. I see prices of £256 being banded about but I have got a quote of £65 from Eibach for their centre hub spacers (Safest way really).

So are people simply getting universal spacers with longer bolts or what or where are people getting these from?

Just to summarise? So you've had a performance Chip installed, and you believe that your wheels being 'pushed out' a couple of extra mm is the answer to your car not able to hold down the (alleged) 233BHP performance !??

LOL - Thought about adding some under-car Neons, will help with aerodynamics, and give you a top end of at least 180mph!

...sounds more like a suspension / traction issue!

Rather than taking the p**s, you wanna try something your good at!

I am sorry if your car doesn't quite reach 233, but I'm sure you try. I'll get a shot of the power sheet Jabba provided and post it.

 This is what makes this place an entertaining read!

If you can't go round corners as fast as you used to get the 20mm rear spacers and coilovers (if you havn't got them already) and a jabba rear anti roll bar, you'll go round corners beautifully then! :D

I didn't know Jabba did a rear ARB. They don't list it on their site so I didn't bother asking when I was there. As soon as I can find a source, I also want front and rear strut braces.

O, and as a serious answer to bizzaboy, yes I do believe widening the rear tract by 40mm will make a difference. I've also got a Vento VR6 with fully adjustable everything on it and with very small adjustments you can transform a cars handling.

Right now the car has too much turn in. This is because the rear oversteer. Widening the rear track means more weight is required to create the same affect. Or, put another way, it won't try to turn in so much.

I've owned a lot of cars and modded all of them and No, not with your favoritre colour neons but in an effort to make them a better car.

Rant finished!

You obviously feel very critical about a bit of light hearted banter/re your car.
And I was providing honest advice, that getting your suspension & traction sorted would be a big help, for the power your car is pushing out.

The rest was just a bit of a laugh, but you obviously took it to heart!

If you bring my car into it - I wouldn't even WASTE my money trying to make my car look like yours - is it possible to get chrome letters " C H A V " glued to the tailgate?

If I were you, I'd think about a respray (sort out that garish Yellow) before trying to sort out a car that can't "handle" your 633bhp! ...perhaps the extra bull$hit you talk gives it all those extra bhp's! (works out cheaper than nitrous does it?). LOL.

Nothing wrong with yellow Seats.

I totally agree, when it's "SEAT Yellow" it's a very cool colour. ;)

But the SuperCar owned by bubsy looks more of a garish canary yellow (unless it's come out that way as the picture was taken in the dark)...... ?

Suppose the colour doesn't matter, as with the chip it has installed, it is now being driven around at 200mph, so you wouldn't see it, just be hit by the supersonic shockwave......................

.............of the Halfords stereo system!

I can only presume that putting people down is the only way you are able to FEEL like your above anyone at all.

As for ragging round at silly speed, not for me on the roads. That is what tracks days are for. I already lost a brother to a Sh*t driver so it's not really something I do.

And the colour, it is standard Seat yellow. Perhaps you can't see it because of all the come in yours eyes from all that w*****g that W****rs do. :)

Ladies, Ladies.

Lets all chill.

End of the day if he has a RR printout from Jabba saying his car does 233 bhp, in all truth its not going to be too far off it.

And as for the spacers, yes they work, there a treat on the Track :D

I'm not allowed to raise my voice at work so I get a carrot dangled and I go for it at the first opportunity.

Bizzaboy has his opinion and I have the car. Wouldn't dream of saying it in any seriousness, at the end of the day he likes Seats and so do I, regardless of colour! ;)
