Door seals mate, get the guide to help you sort it but get your carpets out and mop up the car as if you can see the puddle above the level of carpet its going to be deep back there!

I think it must be in the front, but last time it ran back into the rear footwells. This week it was only the front that was wet. We (my old man and I) inspected the pollen filter per Andy's guide, and discovered a few leaves and stuff but no major blockages etc. However, the black plastic fin that goes over the front of the pollen filter behind the rubber cover had snapped so I will need a replacement one of those, as Superglue doesn't appear to be doing the trick!

Knowing VAG, it'll probably be £20 for a 6-inch long piece of plastic. Part number is 6N2 815 645 if that means anything to anyone?!

Or it could be leaking through the front bulkhead via the plenum chamber too. Mine went in 5 times to the stealers before I got that fixed (and found a dealer that knew his arse from his elbow:whistle: )

Where is the leak? If it's in the front footwell, check your pollen filter (common problem, do a search) or if it's in the rear footwell, check your door seals (common problem, do a search).

mine is leaking in the rear foot well!!! sou think i should check my door seal ye???

Why not. But bear in mind that my rear footwell was wet because it's lower than the front, so the water runs down into it. So it could be coming from there.

the front passenger door sill was quite wet when I had a look at it today (inside the door, along the kickstrip) but I'll have to just keep an eye on it to see whether it's always like this or if it was fresh water. I think my main leak (if I have several!!) is from the pollen filter as it's running down from the front - I doubt the doors could leak that fast really.

I've had the inside of my leon in and out loads, pretty certian its from the front and pollen filter, and then running through to the back. but after "fixing" it several times I've lost patience.....so to stop the build up of water in back footwell, ive made some small holes in the rubber seal under the car so anywater just runs straight out. Dry carpets so far!

Do you mean in the rubber seal under each door?
