Thinking of chopping my LCR in for a DSG car as I'm stuck in traffic jams on my dailly commute and have always fancied an auto box. Anyone on here got one? Does the FR come with the steering wheel paddle shifters like the Golf?

It'll be like cruise control ...

you probably just need to swap the wheel and enable the paddles in VagCom

That's what I'm counting on anyway, cos I have paddles fitted now but the Audi donor didn't have :(

The demo FR petrol at Droitwich has paddles. I tried a A3 Sportback 170bhp S-Tronic diesel with paddles prior to my FR and was impressed with the gear change, although its not quite F1 as there is still a slight delay and occasional gear choice issues with the ecu...either way it meant i could scratch my balls whilst changing into 4th, which has its benefits.

I have just sold my golf with dsg, i can honestly say its the best drive i have had, effortless is a understatement the gearchange is so smooth for a auto and its quick off the mark in sports mode, in traffic is where it comes into its own, i can honestly say no downsides at all. Why you ask have i ordered a manual fr ? because the wife wouldent drive a auto[:@]
