Back from the dead...

I had a Veilside exhaust on my Celica, and that thing was loud enough to wake the dead! It would set of car alarms when pottering through multi-story car parks at normal speeds. It suited the car though in some ways, as the car was much 'louder' in appearance than the Leon.

However, it gets very tiring, very quickly. You can't have a conversation in the car without shouting, long journeys are a nightmare, motorway travelling gives you big headaches (literally) and after a while you just wish you could shut it up.... but you can't.

Ended up changing it for a TRD system which was subtle, yet sporty :)

if you are going M3 it HAS to be a CLS!!!!

you mean CSL! :p

at first that was the plan, but its not worth the extra money when i can pick up a cheaper normal e46 m3 and slap on a turbo... that way it will kill the CSL and have all the luxury!

Thats the one,

Don't go for the standard hairdresser M3, they are bought by girlfreinds ofrich blokes and don't have the carbon roof or aero boot lid (built in spoiler thing)

i'm really not after anything too chavvy, i'll be very happy if it just sounds a little louder than standard, i don't want the neighbours curtain twitching every time i leave the house.

il more than likely get a CSL copy boot... the smoothed in lip spoiler does look rather nice imo

i assume u mean the convertible?! (which i am slightly tempted with! )

either way it will be an e46 m3 normal or CS model and prob not convertible! deffo not the CSL either!

We're getting close now people. We have 10 LC's and 13 LCR's as i type.

I have emailed Nigel to sort the next stage and to get him to confirm options and specific requests. Hope to get teh ball rolling for those that are ready to go a.s.a.p.

I'd love to put my name down for a Turbo back system for my LC but there's no way I can get the funds together.

Always bloddy skint. [:@]

Ahh well I will just have to wait and see if owt is going when I do have the money. :D

Good luck with it all and I look forward to hearing how they are when you get them fitted.

as said nothing and even with the turbo back and 100 CELL sports CAT you should be fine 99% of the time! (just make sure the car is driven round the block to get it up to temp before its tested!... well this is what i have heard helps!)

What are the MOT consequences of getting the cat back system (LCR)?

Cat back means exactly that, cat is still in place, a new backbox and mid pipe mate upto it.

Decat, ie remove cats and place a straight through pipe in its place and you will have MOT issues.

Funny you say that remember that old Vectra i had for a run around that failed on the emissions as it was sat for about a hour before being tested and when it went back it was hot and passed
