343bhp/269lbft actually;) Weight 1570kg

285bhp/300lbft Weight 1370kg

I did say ''only'' stage 2 LCR quick. It isn't going to be a step up for him in performance compared to his LCR at moment.

He did mention putting a blower on it before and he's already tring to fit an exhaust:D ;)

You'll need to put a blower on it mate.

M3's are only stage 2 chipped LCR quick;)

mitch dont worry i know exactly how quick they are... had a few battles!

once rolling there isnt much in it at all with my current set up! :D (its down to the driver!)

but off the line they are much quicker (JUST about sub 5 to 60mph standard)

apprantly they do the 1/4 mile in about 13.5 @ 105mph

but i have BIG plans mitch... horsepowerfreaks turbo! http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/performanceparts/BMW/M3/Turbos/Turbo_Kits

or worse case lol... http://www.simpsonmotorsport.co.uk/bmw-tuning/shop.asp?id=67&pid=67&cid=8&pcid=12

either way i plan to charge it eventually to make it a true beast!

but in the meantime i think il make it stage two with filter/exhaust and remap taking it to about 370 fly bhp at a push http://www.dmsautomotive.com/index.asp?upid=20&msid=3

tris... 343bhp standard.

Do BF do 2 different systems (resonated and non resonated) like milltek?

Thanks for the reply about the noise, is there any noticeable difference in noise (volume not note) between BF and Milltek?

i think we are going far too off topic here :)redface: ) but...

the euro e46 m3 had slightly less power tris, about 10bhp less i think, thats prob why parkers quote different!

uk e46 m3 are 343bhp

back to the topic!...

if you are going M3 it HAS to be a CLS!!!!

I'm hoping that someone with a BF system can help me out here, but i believe that the BF comes with a resonated centre pipe only. I will check with Nigel in the next couple of days if no one can help. As for noise, if you look on Awesome GTI's website, theres a few rolling road videos including some with Millteks and some with BF. Have a listen, see what you think, but i like the sound. Not too intrusive, but that bit meaner than stock.

hay guys,

I'm interested in upgrading my exhaust and after reading a lot of threads this seems to be the system to go for. More then anything I'm looking to improve the sound (i.e. a lot louder). Is this the best one to go for in that case?

Also, I'd like to have a custom exhaust (i.e. oval each side of the car). Any idea how to go about this.....what extra parts would I need?

This GB would only really be usefull for the "off the shelf" BF system. If you want a dual exit, i'm sure Blueflame would be able to produce something, but i would have thought a custom system like that it would be exempt from the GB. If you want to go on the list for the normal single oval pipe, just let me know.

Boy racer:D ;)

If your wanting loud, your better going somewhere like powerflow and get them to fit a couple of 5'' drain pipes to the back:blink:

Blueflame is not what you want if your after a loud exhaust.

A 1.8T engine is no scooby boxer engine, a loud exhaust on a 1.8T sounds awful and completely chav.

All in my opinion of course;)

I ran a Full BF system, DP & Cat on my last Octy vRS, I went for it after a lot of research as the car is my day to day workhorse and i spend a lot of time on the handsfree phone when out on business, thre is no booming with this system, just sounds deep and throaty from outside and at idle but hardly noticeable from standard under normal day to day from inside the car with the windows closed, of course booting it through tunnels with the windows open it totally different!!
