Never got more than 280 miles from a tank. Being a student too, come the end of the term my student loan is gone so fill up £10 worth of petrol a time from which im lucky to get 60miles.

Yeah, it'll probably change for the worse! Chipping a petrol normally results in a drop in MPG.. really does depend on your driving style.

I can just about squeeze £40 into my TDi from empty and I've got between 530-570 miles out of her; my driving style varies between steady traffic to hard booting down dual carrageways :)

I love my TDi :D

i seem to have dropped to about 180 miles from 20 quid atm, after a service as well:blink:

just wondering if the fuel pump wants replacing, and to put some fuel additive in my next full tank to see if that helps

I had to do a quick 280mile blast on monday, give it a bit of stick with the highest speed in excess of 2 miles a minute, but on average about 90, and was lucky to do that on a full tank.

Done 100 miles at 70-75 today and was showing 40.3mpg, thats on a 16v.

mine seems to have dropped a lot recently, i am still getting the same amount of fuel in for the price but struggling to get 200 miles from 20 quids worth and i am not booting it which is bad for a 1.4 imo

just been serviced as well

Again a mk3`er here, IF i drive senisibly i usaly get 200/30miles to a tank, if i drive like i stole it i woulnt be suprized if i sore less than 150miles to a tank, It is quite modifed though pushed over 210bhp, and theres still a downpipe/race cat and a k03s turbo plus the revo stg2 to go on yet  ... Haha its all good fun though!

on motorways at 65 i get 42mpg

65mph on a motorway, ;) didn't think that was even legal

I'm pretty chuffed with the Motorway MPG with my valver at the moment. I average 33mpg (running on V-power) and that includes couple of traffic jams as well.

Well my 1.4 ran out of petrol last night! Lucky it died just as I was parking in my driveway!
I knew that I had put £35 in it, and thought I could easily get 320 miles out of that, but I got 312 and then it died! I think I am gunna have to rummage through my garage to find some petrol now!
The problem is I am still used to my 1.2 punto which no matter how i drove it would do 10p to a mile so I knew how far it would go depending on how much money I had put in!
I really need to stop being such a bum and start putting more that £3 at a time!
