Though I do not have SKY and cannot see it in the same way I see the BTCC I am actually happy with the finished product. Good drivers are still at the team and I hope Michael Jourdain does well. I will reserve judgement on Tiago but maybe tin-tops is his niche. Even though F1 clearly ain't.

Again the big threat will come from BMW who have got a very good driver in Augusto and like SEAT still have who I think are three very good drivers in Andy Priaulx, Alex Zanardi and Jorg Muller. But if we can get better them often then I see few other challengers.

Leon's are heavier than just about everything else by 10kg, FIA in their infinate wisdom, fecking about with the balances yet again.

They may stand a better chance in the rolling start race. But looks so far like its a BMW party.

I can fully understand why Jaime Puig feels a bit miffed. SEAT do appear to have been stiched up a bit today. We'll have to see how it pans out tomorrow.

I couldn't understand why they were all +10kg... maybe BMW moaned about the equalisation (flatfloor) - in which case I hope daywoo are using their crap engines & RHD shells, with crap suspension

To add insult to injury

Yvan Muller was demoted from 6th to 9th on the grid for tomorrow's Race 1, after his fastest lap of 1:25.328 was disallowed by the stewards because the Frenchman had cut onto the grass at Turn 2.

Muller was qualified according to his second fastest lap: 1:25.739 and he slipped behind Huff, Coronel and Gené.

Looks like the SEATs will have to get a good place for the 2nd race

Problem is 2nd race is a standing start so the BMWs can gain a couple of places and pass the Seats.
Seems strange to me that the rolling start has been introduced for Race 1 rather than race 2 where the reverse grid is in play.

Are the non works SEATS carrying the same weight?

According to the new ballast regs Gabrielle's 5th means he ought to have 10kg. His 6th means Yvan ought to have 5kg. Jordi's 9th means Jordi ought to have -5kg. And being below 10th (12th) Michael Jourdain ought to have -10kg.

Am I right? I know we have to take into consideration adding the base-weight (which is 1110kg for the Leon??), but is that what the drivers will have for their positions?

All the Leons are at least 10kg's heavier than anything else out there. 15kgs heavier than the BMW's.

SEAT seemed to be struggling with the setup, the cars all appeared to be on the ragged edge, hence why Muller went off the circuit.

Why is that ZBOYD? Do the Leon's have a different wheel drive system to the BMW's? Is the BMW's RWD? Because I know the Leon's are FWD.

But according to the minimun weight S2000 regs it is 1110kg for the FWD cars homologated in Group N, 1140kg for both FWD homologated in VK S2000 and RWD cars homologated in Group N and a zonking 1170kg for RWD cars homologated in VK S2000. VK being Kit Variants.
