the reason i wan't cat back james is i don't have an extra 300 quid for turbo back and really i just want a nice shiney exhaust that doesn't rot and looks good, i'm not after much more power or anything like that. 260 bhp would be plenty for me if i get it mapped later on. each to their own and all that

Same here on our lasses LCR, if we ecided to go silly ith mods then i would look at replacing cat but as max we will probably go for on this is a remap no point.

I know BF had welding probs/fitting in past & all is clear now, but i just cant help thinking Milltek

There's dyno lottery and then there's stupidly optimistic;)

70-75bhp losses through transmission:lol:

When you next up pod james, im needing to get my arse up ther soon. I reckon sub 13.5 108-110mph terminals for me now:)

FMIC/DP+Cat/Tip/Hybrid/Paddle clutch all added from my last attempt at 13.87. I may even strip some weight out there also:)

don't forget your NOS too mitch... i mean u used it last time so why not now! ;)

no idea wen im next going pod, tbh i doubt il run my car again as im selling it soon and getting an e46 m3 and will be slapping a turbo on it!

also if you do want a good time i can meet you up there and drive ur car up the strip for the best possible time! ;) (wont be the first time i have got the quickest time out of someone elses car up pod! lol :D he he)

my car sounds OEM wen driving like a granny... but when u floor it sounds loooooovey, very nice, sounds powerful (well the engine is! ;)) and not too loud! saxo/novas with just a back box are louder!!!! (plus they sound completely different!)

and when your cruising at any speed on the motorway the exhaust note is fine, not loud at all, you dont have to turn the radio up or speak louder, which is good!

Yes mate i will do.

The list above are the new mods ive had fitted since i last run at pod, so should hopefully make a difference compared to when i last run at pod.

Got a question for you about the tuning discs in the dump valve, where do you put them? Im going to fit the yellow spring and i think i need it a little stiffer than just the yellow.

fit a yellow spring with 2 shims like me... the shims (discs) go under the spring. i.e. the spring sits ontop of it!

back box is probably not much cheaper and then the mid section will rot and need replacing, which would cost more than just getting a cat back system. its up to me what exhaust i put on my car young man, so we'll have less of your cheek :cheeky:

I'm after a full system for the wife's LCR - I don't want an increase in noise so i was looking at the resonated milltek system with cat,

I am sorely tempted by the turbo back BF - as it seems an unbelievably cheap option, but i still have my reservations on their welding quality and from what i've been able to ascertain so far the BF is louder than the Miltek,

Does anyone know if Milltek do a 3" downpipe and if so does anyone have a link to a place that sells them.

BF system will only increase in noise over standard exhuast if you drive it like you left halfords car-park after stealing a load of ripspeed bits in a clio
