and do u actually do any work rob your average posts is like 12 posts a day and you have broken the 2000 post mark not even a month after breaking the 1000 post mark lol
imo there is no point going cat back! you may aswell just get a back box if money is an issue!
i had the BF cat back fitted for a day and then went back to BF for them to make the DP/CAT for my car (they cocked up on the first day!)
the cat back made a SLIGHT noise difference and NO performance increase... the next day i had the 3" DP/sport cat fitted and wow! a definite performance gane... car spooled about 500rpm quicker and revved much better top end! and the sound...
so basically imo... either leave ur exhaust alone... or save up the pennies for a couple of months and then get the whole lot in one go! TRUST ME YOU WONT REGRET IT!
god i should get commission!
hope this helps!
EDIT: come on "cupra" owners... pull your finger out... im getting bored of Tris moaning about his exhaust... its about time he got a BF for his car!
see i found it different James you can hear my turbo spooling at about 2500 but it doesnt really kick in till 3500rpm but when it comes in does it come in lol
...James, I'm interested in the cat back for cosmetic (sound mainly) reasons. I don't want anything loud, I just want a big of a deeper note from the exhaust. Also, if I stick with the cat back only, all I need to do is pay a £25 admin fee and that, the DB mounts and a TIP are all covered by my insurance. If I change the cat and down pipe, the price jumps up.
So long as it looks pretty and sounds nicer, I'm happy
Cheers for the advice James. Might sleep on it and see how I feel. £200+ is a lot of money to end up disappointed if there are little gains to be had. Decisions decisions....

i got a blue flame on my cupra r , noticed a lot more torque as soon as i fitted mine , it is from the turbo back , great buy, and it makes a nice roar as well
