i dont see it as slating...more educating

too many people rely heavily on what rolling road figures tell them...just recently there was a post about some TDi owner that had a revo map and was totally set on bashing revo cos of the rolling road results. Most uneducated people think any RR is Gospel. well i've been on a few LOL

yeah thanks for posting that but you seemed to miss the point of that post

but im not too bothered really. car goes very well. would be interesting to compare on another dyno as some who ran sunday had achieved more elsewhere, but i doubt i'll bother as it all costs money at the end of the day

i posted logs, graphs and figures to thoroughly evaluate the RR and truely i believe it to be false.

like alot of people i am really bored of seeing new threads every week of people worrying or moaning about what an RR said about their car. i dont see any contradiction in the post you've shown above since i werent bothered by the result i got, but more the power graph and the logs. that was the point of that post

Ok mate fair enough, but in this 'good guide' forgetting the power figure I was just wondering if anyone else thought my torque was low for the mods? and if the 100cell really could be its downfall on a turbo as small as a K03S? people have had 270 and 280 lb/ft from a K03S have they not?

i'm on a 100cell race cat with my K03s same as you and i made 282lbs/ft

So if you don't want to see new posts don't come on a forum then and/or don't answer them. Personally I find it intrested to let people know/find out more about other peoples cars and mods, because you learn from it. You really make out as if you are Mr know-it-all.

Everyone that knows about cars uses rolling roads to see their car is up to their expectations, even you, it is also a very good way to find out if you car is as healthy as you think.

As you can see a few people have had 270 and 280 lb/ft from a K03S, so my querying that isn't THAT unusual.

But then I am very happy with the car as it is just now, I may get a bigger turbo and possibly try another tuner next year when I have new suspension/wheels/brakes sorted first.

i dont claim to know it all, but im no dunce, iv owned my car for 2 years, driven for 5 and i very rarely take my car to a garage for work as ill do it myself if i can. you dont want to hear my advice fine

Just to put a flip side on the star remap.

I was a bit dubious about the claims of such power from such little boost.

I have my audi remapped by star which is basically a K03's with a TIP and DV.

I have had 211bhp and 210lbft at marlins dyno.
I then had 236bhp and 272lbft on Engine Advantages dyno.

Last night I met up with a friend who has the same mods and same car and it put out 238bhp and 252lbft on surrey Rolling Roads dynojet.

So like many say don't read too much into the absolute bhp and torque reading but take it from me that a 1.8T k03's would be very capable of making the figures you have been given on one of Jim's maps.
