Has anyone come accross alloy valve caps bonding on to the brass valve on the wheel?

I have SEAT caps and the rear ones are stuck fast. Were not tightened up so no idea how its happened!

Can anyone advise?

Yeah has happened to me before they corrode themselves together there on those valves for good i'm afraid you'll need to get the tyres re-valved at a tyre fitting place
Copper grease sometimes helps before you put them on but not always

same happened to me last week. i posted on here a while ago about where to get replacement caps as mines got knicked. I bought aluminium one's from ebay and they were still there 2 months later - now I know why, because the little :censored: probably couldn't get them off!!

I took out two pairs of pliers to grip the valve stem and valve cap and still can't get them off!

how much is it going to cost to get replacement valves if they need to cut off the caps???

This was quite common with some of the anti-theft caps. It was fine during spring and summer, but as soon as winter set in they would forge themselves to the valves! No amount of brute force could get them off either.

You're looking at around £5-10 to have a valve changed I think?
