...get the odd flash here and there...

Have you had them aligned yet? If not, I strongly recommend you do. Not only will it improve your visibility (by making sure the lights are aimed correctly), but it should reduce/eliminate the people flashing their lights at you.

At the end of the day, if someone is flashing you then that means your lights are dazzling/blinding them, which can't be a good thing. It's dangerous for other road users, and also means you're more likely to get pulled over, and have your 'not entirely legal' lights looked at.

I got my HIDs aligned by the local MOT place, and they didn't even charge me for it. Now i don't get a single flash from anyone :)

Did you just modify the standard leon lights? or buy new ones. are the standard leon lights projector?

Most likely just replacement bulbs to the OEM headlamps.

An no the OEM's aren't projector.

I've got mine on order should be arriving by the end of the week / early nextweek...

Got mine from https://www.mydepots.com .. thanks to RobM for the point in the right direction...

Also, have a read of the HID sticky at the top of this sub-forum. There's a number of good hints / tips in there if you're thinkin of changing your own.

Have a read of the sticky thread at the top of this forum, as that answers all your questions. There is also a step-by-step guide to fitting them to a Leon that you might find helpful.

Then have a look at the 'Cheap HID' thread as that provides a good source for them for a good price as well as having plenty of discussion about them.

You can't buy them, you have to make it yourself. Get a grey or beige one and paint it with Halfords bumper paint and you get a nice finish that matches the interior perfectly :)
