Cruise Control & windscreen washer lights dont opperate

Altea 2.0 TDI Sport 05

Just wondering if any of you guys & gals have the same thing as me!

Basically my cruise control works fine, I just don’t get a light come on when its enabled. Also, i ran my windscreen washer dry the other day & got no light on the dash.

Oh, just one more thing. I don’t get a warning if I drive off without a seat belt fitted, though looking under my seat I have the wiring connected.

Just wondering if this is normal or should I be talking to my stealer?

They have changed the spec over the years. I don't think anybody has a cruise control light ?, you didn't on the 2004/05 models. The washer bottle light has been discussed on another thread recently. Is that connected up on any Alteas ?. Anybody know.

Mine's exactly the same, all 3 don't carry a indicator/warning light, i certainly don't miss the seat belt one !, it's a pain on my friends car.

the dashboard computer on my golf gti used to show low washer fluid light, it looks very simular to the one thats in the FR. it was called a highline computer in A vw. they had a lower spec dsh computer called "midline computer which didnt have the washer warning facility.

I find the lack of a cruise control light on my Ibiza a pain too

Tip for cruise control - take your foot of the accelerator and if you stay at the same speed, it's on

06 Stylance - no CC light, no washer light, but seatbelt light and beeps away

If you into a car in front without breaking, it's still on .

I get the cold weather beep and fuel low on my 04 Altea and that's the lot on beeps.

2.0 TDI sport has no CC light no washer light but has the seat belt light...

I also have the cold weather light and beep. First time it beeped i nearly jumped put of my skin.

Not forgetting the beep if you park up with the indicator turned on and switch off the ignition....

don't you find the headlight on warning beep particularly annoying ?, it's a horrible beep as beeps go, i'm sure they could have done a nicer beep !

um don't use my headlights much... um main beam, perhpas that's a new beep introduced after the 2004 model

Late 05 toledo has no low washer light, has all the rest though, Seatbelt beep and light, Indicator/lights on beep, low temp warning and beep, it is quite loud!! Dont have CC so cant say about that.

I have a 05 Stylance 1.9 tdi

I had the car serviced last week and checked with the dealer regarding the washer bottle warning light - they checked the spec of my car and apparently it is not an option on this model.

As regards the cruise control - it doesnt light up on my dash either - quite happy to leave it that way - easiest way to check if its on is to note the position of the on/off switch on the stalk - simple!!!!

buy the '06 model the warnings are much nicer than those on my '04. doesn't make up for the lose of dipping rear mirror with red down lighters

Poor from SEAT to give you a nicer beep but rob you of the auto dimming rear view mirror (with downlights), which i thought was perhaps a gimmick but having used one IMO is excellent, did SEAT change it be an option now ?, mine was std fitment (late '04 Sport).

That's what I say about the specification of the cars changing and getting worse. Image if you were looking for a second hand model with all these options not bought by the punter in the first place since Seat dropped them as part of the standard spec. My two year olds still a baby .... and it has all the right toys and doesn't beap and berp too often.
