this is a nightmare to het out, been trying for 2 days to get the blighter out. those retainers aren't budging. any advice?

Try my way until the weather gets warmer or you have to take it in for a service - just remove the 4 top screws and pull the grill forward and slid the honey grill behind the main grill and use 2 tye wraps - I know it s acheat but mine would't come out either and I wdid't want to snap anything !!!

What exactly is the issue with the dpf? Clogging, restricting?
Thats about it !!!
Clogging - if you do sort runs and - the DPF is under warranty for 3yrs, but this may be null and void if they find that your journeys are short but what determins short is in the legal mist and yet to be proven??!??

Restrictive if you want to extract more power
There are around 5 sensors
1 Back pressure sensor for gases into DPF,
2 Pressure gauge sensor 1 for exhaust gases,
3 Lambda sensor before catalytic converter,
4 Temperature sensor before DPF,
5 Temperature sensor behind DPF,
that come out of this DPF contraption, so I beleive the ideal answer would be to fit a de DPF pipe and fool the ECU with 5 "resistive"sensors for off road use??

At Last!

after taking the car to my local dealer, who had no idea how to fit it either but did know it would cost £27.50 to fit the grill i decided to persivere myself and save myself some cash.
now i did break a lug by mistake as when i did come off i fell back and snapped one but luckily not one that makes any difference.here's some of the action!

instructions adv screws, but as you can see its plastic pop out rivets

grill removed, by hand down inside, screwdriver pushing the lug,CAREFULL!

the lug you need to push to remove.

its placed underneath and screwed on.

fitted money saved......new gear knob to order:)

I'd still rather have a grill without the straight lines on it. Dont mind the S logo, but rather be full honeycomb.

Jamie at Jennings in Middlesbrough is the bloke you want to speak to. He has sorted me out with LOADS of import stuff for my car, inc the grille...

its a nightmare, i tried it after the car had been on a long drive and left for 5mins the heat of the engine helpd the plastic rather than do it cold. its hard to explain, if you see the silver hooks on the pics above thats what the poem grill is fixed in with, its a sort of push the bottom in then pull up, i removed the 4 top screws and got my hand down the back to help pry out the hooks, BE CAREFULL here the break.bit of brute force and out it comes.
