That should polish out, surely? ;)

Seriously though, best of luck - I'd be heartbroken if my car got a involved in a small prang, let alone a full on front ender like that. I've got my fingers crossed for you mate.

Dodsons looked like it had take more of a beating than this one and that managed to get back onto the road, so fingers crossed this Leon is the same!

I think Dodson's was more cosmetic because of the high gate wiping out the bonnet - this is a proper square on impact with the chassis rails, and with the way cars are designed to crumple in order to dissipate the force, it may well end up as a write off. Fingers crossed - when are the insurance company sending an assessor?

There coming to pick it up in the morning. Ive just seen the picks of dodsons car and ur right it was more cosmetic! the most worrying thing is that chassy leg that has crumpled.
Its gonna be gutting if it cant be repaired its not done 11k yet and its gonna be hard finding the same car anywhere, then its how much they will pay out!

im really greiving its making me feel sick!

fingers crossed thou:confused:

Platinum, if the chassis leg is bent, there is a chance it will be written off as Cat D or C, but its not the end of the world. No doubt I will ignite the blue touch paper here, but if that becomes the case, get the opinion of a professional who can pull it straight - its not difficult. The biggest decision will be the money involved, i.e. how much you get from insurance, how much it costs to buy back, how much its costs to put right. Add to that a car on the register will be worth less than one that isn't (however good it is put straight), and it might be best to let that one go and start again with another motor.

I've had experience with Cat D cars put right, and IF you know the right people it can be a very worthwhile excercise. But if there is any doubt, walk away. This is of course assuming it gets written off.
