Hi Guys,

Was down at my mechanics today, my brake pads were worn so I got them changed. On my arrival he had a look at my tyres and said they will too need replacing soon, I said I knew and that I will be looking to get a pair very soon.

However, it was not until he took the wheels off he told me that the fronts are totally screwed and need to replaced NOW! On inspection the tyres seem to be worn to excess on the inside of the tyre, so much so that you can see the inner lining come through :wtf:

Anyway, I just did a search on this delightful site and read what you guys are currently running and I have just ordered a pair of Toyo T1-R tyres from www.camskill.co.uk for £186 delivered, what do you all think? A good price?

Anyway thanks seatcupra.net and all its members without you I am sure I would have paid alot more than that

if one side of the tyre is massively worn compared to the other i would get your tracking checked while your at it

Good call mate. In-fact I have only had the car for 4 months and I got the bloke to get the tracking done before I bought the car, which he did and my guess is that the tyres have been in a state for a while.

See if you can find a garage that do full geometry checks, so they look at camber, toe, alignment and a few other bits too. Well worth the money (prob around £50-60) if you want your tyres to last, your car to handle well and brake properly :)
