Following a comment elsewhere I'm wondering what the perception is of how old too old is to be driving a LCR/FR.....

I'm not about to divulge my age of being an old git   but wondered what the perception is of what the kind of age is of an LCR/FR driver is, and what is too old to be one:roflmao:

Dont think it makes much difference to be honest. I thinka s long as you get enjoyment out of it.

Like ill be 17 when i get mine.. will i be too young? And my old man drives a 700bhp Supra.. and hes hardy a spring chicken..

As Reg says..does it matter.. if you still enjoy it go for it

If you enjoy it then bollocks to everyone else. Its not their business.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Remember this is a 5 door hatch, not a 2-seater convertible. It's not a mid-life-crisis car if that's what you're getting at?

The good thing about the LCR / FR is it has a mature image. This is where CTR's and Clio's lose it as they have a baseball cap spotty youth image.

I think you get admiring looks from boyracers and mature drivers in the Cupra / FR. But yeah, who cares. Lifes too short to care what other people think.

Rokerlad your avatar unsettles me.

Yeah, you're never too old. I'd much rather see a gentleman in the prime of his life (ahem) driving an LCR/FR than some chavvy teenager. The fact that they're not a common choice with the boy racer brigade only enhances their classic status in my view.

probably insurance costs are a factor there!!!

interestingly I bought my LC when it was a year old off my old man who is now 63...(but it was me that told him to buy it in the first place so that doesn't really count does it!!!)

definitely nicer that they're not seen as chavy halfords boy racer brigade cars!!

If you got to ask then you're too old already.....I'm 42 yrs young and proud to be driving an LCR - albeit with tints.....
