Hey guys I looked through some other posts on this topic but would be good to get some definite answers before I part with my hard earned.

1) Looking at getting a garrett gt28 (in one of its many variables!) am I right in thinking that the eliminator available at ATP turbo is only different to a regular gt28rs as it bolts onto a stock manifold? And if I had a custom manifold then other gt28rs variables would bolt to it? (ie not the eliminator)

2) This is a list of the parts I will be ordering/ having made please let me know whether you recomend or if ive missed anything:-

-Custom tubular manifold
-Garrett GT28rs
-Custom downpipe
-80mm Maf tube
-80mm induction kit (will modify my jabbasport heatshield to fit new element)
-440 cc injectors - can anyone recommend specific injectors that there using?
-T.I.P - is there a silicon tip in production that I can fit or will I need a alloy inlet pipe manufactured?
-Fuel pump - what model do you recommend?
-Custom re-map
-Intercooler either a 'very special Volkswagen racing' number or a custom spec-r unit

Have I missed anything guys? Hoping for the project to kick off in the next couple of weeks so please can I have your opinions as I dont want to waste my money on crap parts!!

Cheers guys..

Fred.

I'll wager your development costs for custom bits will be far and above more than just buying a kit of parts from Jabba for an IHI (I assume you're fitting yourself?)

If only you didn't have to design things...
If only ;)

Nah Il make the downpipe, Ive been informed by Grant Motorsport that he can get me a tubular manifold from the states.

Im only wanting tubular as I dont want to go through 'X amount' of cracked cast manifolds.

lol, please find a better source for information

Tubular imports from the states aren't exactly renowned for good fitment, or quality, or lasting.

Also, the US fitment just won't suit the Ibiza, with it's close firewall, brake lines & of course the brake servo

I'd have a good look at the Eliminator

It's tight on a leon though....

But then compared to a pukka GT28RS in this thread

Sounds good, how about a sports cat/de-cat?
I think you will have to make/bodge a TIP.
Bill (Badger 5) has a tubular mami wich was custom made but i think if you ask he might be able to get others made up.

The only thing putting me off the eliminator was I was led to believe the cast manifolds still crack?

Will the eliminator set-up fit the Ibiza?

Cheers Mork, handy info in that thread. If it will make my life easier I may go with an eliminator kit simply as I will end up throwing my toys out of the pram if things start going wrong! lol

Olly - I was planning on de-cat. Will there be a specific silicon tip to fit either of the eliminator models?

Cheers guys... very handy info.

Depends largely on who's mapping it

But 380cc's will cope easily for GT2X, and some mappers want to use 550cc for GTRS

I don't know him but :roflmao: at your respons.

As for a tip.
I know that for an IHI you need to use a S3 or leon TIP then cut the end off and conect it to a Jabba custom 90deg pipe. I know your not going IHI but it may give you somthing to think about.

Cheers for the info guys. Think Im pretty much decided on an eliminator kit now. But as to which turbo im unsure! Ive seen atp off a 3" inlet tube (alloy) on there website, says its specifically for the golf but is anyone running one on a ibiza?

With regards to slating other companies its a bit unprofessional, (if you have a feud there's no need to bring it on a forum!!) Ive dealt with him with my Corrado VR6 and alot of my friends have also. They have always provided an efficient and honest service. This is always a good thing in my opinion!

Grant Woodhatch is a thief. Owes me >£400 from paying for services with bouncy cheques.
Unprofessional is exactly what he is.... good luck, you WILL need it if wasting your money with him. SIMPLE AS

An ex-SCNer here suffered big time at the hands of GMS on a completly botched t'body conversion to his mk2 16v ibiza. (radiator held in with cable ties!!!)

"honest" is not a word associated with Grant.
Crook... yes.
