HI All,

I have just been informed that i need a new DV for my LC. It has been remaped to about 220bhp and apparently there is to much boost for the original bosh DV to keep flowing in the right direction, ultimately leading to a slight drop in power.

Is this correct? and if so, do you think that the above DV is the best one to go for for the cost (£100)

Thanks

its possible, uprating the DV is a very popular mod on here as the original one can fail and a remap will just increase the chances of that.

you will most likely get a resounding yes for the forge 007p. its great dv with lifetime warranty.

there is a new forge one out that offers partial dumping to go the whooshy sound, but its brand new so dont know anyone whos tried it and i think its not far off double the price.

sure you can get 007p for less than £100 if you go digging on here.

do we get the discount on the forge web site? I have seen some on here for sale that are second hand for around the £50 mark.

I always think that something like this would be best to buy brand new! what are your thoughts on this?

Yes, put a note about the discount when you order and they'll take it into account when they take the payment.

I'd prefer to buy something like that brand new, but they are servicable - Forge sell service kits for them.

Thanks DPJ,

Looks like a nice idea, especially the ability to make it quiet. I would like to be able to make a woosh occasionally but if it can be adjusted to be quiet for most of the time that would be superb.

Might have to guinea pig it and buy one to see what its like.......

i like to hear some noise on release of pressure but prefer the stealth approach.

Think that i will go with whats said above and buy new, that way i know how its treated and have got peace of mind!

Thanks

there are a few flying around for sale now circa 40 quid
just give them a service (service kit and instructions are free from forge) and you've saved yourself 60 quid

How do i get hold of the service kit? Also, as said above, they come with a lifetime, do you need to show proof of purchase for this, only asking if i do go for a second hand one
