Firstly mnay thanks to those who have responded to my Q's via the PM's I have sent.

I have had an issue getting the seat/dension ipod connection to fit my Aura single CD unit.

The desnion/seat unit comes with a blue male (8pin) iso fitting. The HU has a much larger (3 times the size) CD changer female fitting. Does the ipod end just simple plug & play and just ignore the gap, or am I missing something? Do I need the CD lead?

My local dealer has never fitted one and are unsure.

Help!!

Hi mate,

Not got one myself, but looking into it

This might help.................looks to me like you connect directly to the rear of the head unit? I don't have the single CD type so can not check for you. (Mine would be the 8pin changer connection).

I think no.3 is relevant to you........

Found below at a web site - http://www.ipodcarkitdirect.co.uk/i...Seat_iPod_Ice_Link_Plus_Adapter/Compatibility

Compatible Seat Radios:
1. Seat Grundig Radio High, 5201, 5300 radios: with a square (8-pin) Mini ISO CD changer socket at the rear.

2. Seat Aura, Alana, Beta, Elba, Lena, Scala radios: with a square (8-pin) Mini ISO CD changer socket at the rear.

3. Seat Models (2004 onwards) with radios that have a square (12-pin) Quadlock CD changer socket at the rear.

Connection of the ice>Link is made via the mini ISO CD Changer connection found on the rear of the radio.

Good luck sorting it................

Me again.........

looking into it a bit more I think you need to unplug your 'milti-changer lead' from the rear of the head unit and plug your ipod adaptor in, directly in its place.

If its an Aura single CD HU it should still have a multi-changer output

Slight off topic..........

I have the aura headunit with multichanger setup. Want to convert to ipod use (5th gen)

Questions:
has anyone else got this?
Is it good i.e fast data transfer
do you have full functionality of the ipod? as i'm slightly concerned that with the small display you wont get much?

Cheers
