Ok, ive put my original CD player back in, but its asking for a radio code, and I dont have one anywhere. Dont suppose anyone knows where I could find the code. I can get one from work (where I got the car from), but that means driving to work with no radio and the sound of a rattling diesel!!!!
Cheers

if it aint there u can take it out again and ring seat with the serial numbers etc, on the side and they will give u the code. Thats what I was going to do until I got it to work, also you press scan not program to enter the code

Yes this is a good tip, the Alana manual states to use the prog button. I fitted a bluetooth kit to my wife's FR at the weekend and took 1/2 hour to work out it was the scan button and the manual is in fact wrong! :censored:

had a look an my alana owners's manual and it is correct ("scan" to activate the code)

inside rear cover it says "reprint 15.04.04"

I have fitted an alana MP3 player to my LCR, and want to fit a bluetooth hands free kit. Was the one you fitted any good? If so, what one is it? I was thinking of Nokia Cark or Sony Ericsson HCA...Tips appreciated...thanks!

Ok here it goes folks again, I'm helping because I was very frustrated with mine for a month. I got the following info from my dealer in Mexico via telephone. NO CHARGE. He informed me that the code might be under the ashtray. Pull out the ashtray and there might be a sticker under the ashtray with the code. It may be on the side of the radio unit or in the glove compartment. My code is 0777. Anyway turn your stereo on (car off) then wait for an hour!! no key inside ignition either! come back your display should have changed from SAFE to 1000. Then input the code first and then press the SCAN button and that's it!!! good luck, did mine yesterday!!!!

If you happen to notice the amount of posts related to this subject is amazing. There are numerous people in the past or present whom seem to have the radio code related problem. One thing I noticed is that they never seem to have a final answer. I had the same thing happening for a month and I realize many people fell the same way and might not know where to look for an asnwer. I do know there is a forum search, but by the numerous postings on the same subject I realize many people are having the radio code problem. It amuses me that such a simple detail can be solved right away but has caused lots of frustration to many people. I think my Seat Ibiza 2003 sport is an amazing car, and I have had nothing but great performance from mine. My intention is only to help people and not bother anybody.
Thank You.
