Both Gary (Madmile) and Jools (CustardCupra) are friends of mine and I've seen their IHI progress from step one to now, and their car's run 10 times better now than when they first did. The new M5's and RS6's are muchos better than any M3 and again I try to speak un-biased as friends own these cars too.

At the end of the day an IHI Ibiza is quick, but there never going to handle like a Scoob, M3, M5, RS4, etc... I try to be un-biased but sometimes you don't realise how quick an IHI tin can, can be!

When I first met Jool's years ago, I had my doubts about his claims, then when we went to a Well Lane rolling road day he said instead of following in the 1.4 Ibiza why not jump in. I did and fook me, I never thought a 3 door shopping trolly could go so quick!!

lol aye thats true

i would love to wack a big turbo onto the ibiza, its so tempting but theres part of me that thinks while i love my car to bits, i cant bring myself to spend those sort of figures on it when i'd much rather a better allround car overall.

no matter what turbo you got an M3 isnt going to be far behind in a straight line and as soon as some corners appear...well lets say its advantage M power

i destroyed a new shape m3!it was my mates motor both went up to about 160mph he had an edge at the start but as soon as the poer was down at around 80/100 i sailed past him!

As some of you know my cupras in jabba now gettin IHI conversion and some brembos and cambelt change etc

pick it up next week sometime!!

Been to Jabba today and saw your car there, they rekon it should be pretty much up and running by tonight!. Love the paint work with the red metal flakes, very nice. They tell me that you are getting the P20 housing IHI which is the biggest one out of the two they do. GOOD MAN!. Booked mine in today to have the IHI treatment so i am well looking forward to that. It is going in on the 13th of Feb and they rekon it will be done in a few days so i can pick it up with a base map and run the turbo in myself for 100 miles or so.

Very Interesting subject on the M3's it is a very nice car and excellent example of engineering.... The M3 CSL for example weighs 1385KG and produces 262bhp per ton, the Ibiza weighs 1119kg.. Now if all goes well which i belive will... say for example Carlisle petes car produces 320 bhp it will produce 285 bhp per ton and will produce alot more torque than the M3. The M3 will move of the line quicker but the Ibiza will catch it and pass it.

haha nice one aidy. its a bit dirty as you probs seen!! and sittin quite high on the coilovers and i need spacers put on so il lower it back down once i get it back! unless jabba want to do it for me!! lookin forward to gettin it back..
As for the M3 thing i do not know as i have never raced one. i no cupra_matt raced a new shape RS4 sure they produce 420bhpish? correct me if im wrong. the rs4 had him off the lights but it stayed prett much exactly even up the strip at crail. and as quoted befor his is 284 bhp and 296lb/ft so hopin for 340bhp ish it might just do it. again i have no experience of IHI power so do not hold me to any of this! jus my opinions and hopes!

As for the M3 comments........... well i came across a E46 M3 last night, came up behind it onto a dual carrige way, i came round the outside of him onto the straight, he floored it seeing this yellow thing next to him so i naturally floored it too.................bye bye M3 , i sailed past and kept pulling away. It was a rolling start i was at about 30 MPH in second any kept going till nearly redline in 4th, It was a long long way behind.

Dont get me wrong, iam not slating them, in fact they are one of my favourite saloon cars.

So a well sorted K03s ibiza would keep up, if not creep past one.

After i slowed down there was a long line of traffic, and he over took th lot like a prat on a blind bend, he must have been upset. LOL
