Good stuff, nice one mate! When I finally get my damn car back from the body shop (tomorrow now with a bit of luck...) I'll be able to fit mine and do the guide I keep promising people!

Did you have any trouble fitting them? How long did it take you?

sounds like you paid roughly £100-150 to get them fitted, bitch of a job to do propperly (and i dont mean ram/tuck the ballast underneath/on top of whatever it'll push up against.)

£253  :-o

That's £188 more than I paid. And the kit I've got will hopefully make fitting them properly (i.e. safely, securely and not obstructing anything) a doddle.

I really hope you like them a lot for that money!

Equally as bad if you're referring to the Mk1 Focus. I have had both and they are both 'OK' but not great.

i thought they were quite good lights personally. but then i was used to driving a 97 Rover 216Si which was a peice of garbage (or should i say carbage) and im driving my dads toyota corolla at present while i save for my LCR (should be in may!!)

So are these HID lights a really worth while investment? do they only do the lower beam or can they do both, either/or?

You can get high beam HID's too, but the general opinion is don't bother, just stick with main beams as they are more than enough for general driving. Can't say if they are worth the investment personally, as I've not fitted mine yet. But others that have certainly seem happy :)
