Another Flip Key Question!!

I just need to know where do I have to look so I can find the part number for the key? Also I have a tag with the spare key which has a sequence of numbers on it, does anyone know what they are for?

yes and yes

first of all you need to split the key to find the part no. (flip the blade and will see a big join, get a big flat screwdriver and prise them apart and the part no id written on the button part)

second part is the tag with numbers on, this is for coding transponders to your immobiliser

Cheers for that dude, but I don't have the flip key. I have the normal remote key and I want to buy a flip key, so I was wondering what part number do I need to look for.
I know that my key is 433mhz and that a 434mhz will work but I can't get my head around the part number bit because there is more then one!

you need either

HLO 1JO 959 753 A is 433mhz 2 button
HLO 1JO 959 753 AG is 434mhz 2 button

either will work, top one is old and rare espesially good condition ones

The barcode key tag yeah ? Is this what SEAT would sell you if you wanted to code the immobiliser yourself in VagCom ?

Or do you still need that anyway ? Sorry, can't remember the term - I've got PAC code in my head from swapping mobile phone numbers

On the spare key fob sometimes you can find a label..

On the ones I have seen, they contain a key number or something, and a scratch of panel under which is your SKC (secret Key Code ??).

This is the number that you need in order to code keys to the imobiliser.

This number is gold dust if you want to code say a flip key, and is very difficult to get out of the dealers.

I hope that it will work. I will probably get it cut and then take it to the dealers to sort out the immobiliser and the code.
Do you guys think this will work?

If you do a search for flip key there is an very long thread in the ibiza section. This covers a lot of the question about ebay, cutting the key, coding to the central locking, the immobiliser, getting a Seat badge for the key etc. Consensus on that thread is that all VW/Skoda/Seat flip keys work on the same frequency.

Cheers for the help guys.
It arrived this morning; it looks brand new and unused.
It came with instructions to code it as well.
I need to get the blade cut and take to the dealer to sort out the immobiliser and that should be it.
I am well pleased with it. It even has the SEAT badge on it.
It does have 3 buttons not 2 but not that it will make a difference anyway.

Overall its !!
