New DAB delivered

Arrived at the dealer yesterday, went and had a look last night, too dark to see really but what I could see was bl00dy nice. Can't pick it up till Sunday morning, needs its delivery service and, now that I've got a reg number, the insurance cover note.

0.3 miles on the clock meaning it came on a transporter...nice.

I'll takes some piccies on Sunday and stick them up

Picking mine up a week on Friday.
Sold my car last night so everything is arranged.
I am still thinking about an alarm for it.
Dealer quoted me £170 for an alarm fitted.
I had a look on the net today and can get a Cobra alarm upgrade for the car.
Basically it uses the original imobiliser but adds an alarm and also upgrades it to cat 1 system.
It means the original key fob will lock the doors and activate the alarm at the same time.
I can get one for £60 and my mate used to fit car alarms so he would fit it for me.
Think I'll probably do that.

Hmm, it was the misssus (who was sitting in the driver's seat) that commented on the mileage, maybe it was the trip mileage showing.

you wont save anything on insurance unless he can get hold of the correct forms with company's details, technicians details and all must be signed and dated ect.

where i used to work we had different forms for different alarms. had to fill them in and keep a copy, customer got the other and they had to send off to there insurance company which would prove which alarm is in the car and if a qualified technician installed it.

just thought id let you know. might be worth paying extra to get it done with the forms if your mate cant. depends if you want to save on insurance

My mate is a qualified alarm installer.
To be honest I don't pay a lot for insurance anyway(£170)
I just want an alarm on the car.
I think it's rediculous that all new cars dont have alarms.
It's not even an option on the Dab.
You can get the luxury pack on the Sport for £270 which includes an alarm but they dont seem to have one for the Dab.

I think the dealers can reset the mileage back to 0000 so it looks nice when you pick it up

but only if it's a few

when i put my deposit down on mine it had 6miles on it. they then drove it down to huddersfield and it had another 130mile on it.
