Front / Rear screen wash problem

Hi guys

I've got a strange problem with my rear screen wash system,

Basically every time i pull the front screen wash the rear wash jet spouts water as if it being pumped...but not as much as it would if the rear screen wash wipe was pushed.

I'm wondering if its a pump problem or stalk problem. I only noticed it this morning.

Anyone else had a similer experiance?

yep had same problem on my LC some time ago, and its common. The plastic pipe that feeds the jet can come loose and away from the jet, thus resulting in water being pump into the boot lid. I noticed the same when I pushed the stalk and i could hear the pump but no water came out. Took to dealers and got it sorted under warranty.

I think thats a different problem the rear was wipe works fine on its own, its when i run the front screen the rear one shot a little water too, checked its not the stalk flicking back, and it only does it as i pull the stalk

I can't remember if mine did this - it got fixed under warranty yonks ago. The cure was a new pump and I'll put money on that being your problem.

is there two pumps or just one, cos i can only see one with two wires and the sensor!! so how the hell does that work? how does it know which one to pump?

getting this sorted under warrenty turns out the pump is duff...new one ordered.
