dave, if your foam core is still intact, fill a bucket with hot water and fairy liquid and steep it for a while, rub it and try to remove as much crap off it , let it dry upside down then refit it. if thats your only problem with it the fiary will break down the oils.

Mine's got half the A1 attached to it at the moment. If I thought Fairy would remove excess RamAir polymer then I'd give it a go. I just don't want to pay for yet another MAF ( #8)

Dave you still using the standard single SMIC?

78'C inlet temps :-o and thats with outside temp of 8.5'C I'd hate to see what they are during the summer!

Your n75 duty cycle is very good (only around 80%)! Looks like your have more boost to play with there!

Yes Sie, still SMIC. Looking for an Ibiza/ LCR inlet mani so I can fit an LCR single pass.

Thanks for commenting on my N75 duty cycle, I felt that was the case, but needed some confirmation. :)

Haha!

Ok, in the interests of science - A new RamAir core. Great service from Raid & nice people to deal with.

Dave, exactly how many particles are we talking here? its not going to be a constant bombardment fella, its not like its just falling off (if it is, it should be in the bin). My old pipercross had a little surface corrosion from being washed a bit too often, the maf is shielded anyway though I wouldnt consider it a problem.

:D MAF damage paranoia here! I have got a new one after all!
Ok, I'll give the surface of the metal a squirt with some WD40 and leave it for a couple of weeks before I give it a wipe. Thanks for your help, Brendy.
