Telford ay it...
Dont worry hayz i dont hate you ;)

Having my mother on drops mine.

Problem with insurance is all the messing around they do, takes forever to do anything [:@] Someone went into the back of my moms Focus st170, she had the work done and had a curtosy car. Now 6 months down the line the other insurance are refusing to pay for the curtosy car [:@] Bloody useless

Just had my renewal through from Admiral, with noted mods i.e. Lowered and on 17" alloys

£268 Fully Comp - but I am 34 (nearly 35 :-o ) with full NCB

Well when I went on Bell (part of the admiral/elephant group) to see how much my premium would go up by if declared tints and coilovers, it was about £240...........just for those mods, per year [:@] :censored: [:@] :censored:

Think you guys have it bad - I'm 19 (20 in July) and have my second driving test tomorrow (learning to drive since late October). On my Ibiza 1.4 I've been quoted between £1500 & £1700 (My Dad and older sister reduce premium) FC, on the 2L GTI kindly "donated" (eh James ;)) - £2300 with dad and sister on insurance. :(

My insurance on my 1.6 was over a grand last year with tesco - Was 24 at the time but only just learnt to drive (damn london public transport system)

Thankfully with a years NCD and being 25 its dropped to just over £400

I can justify insuring a cupra to myself but i cant seem to articulate it to the gf - we need 5 doors apparently [:@]

i never bothered declaring anything when i was 17 on my old 8 valve, i put the mother on the policy as the main driver and that made it 1,400, but when i had a crash the insurance compny came to take the car away, so i just took all my mods off! easy, they ended up taking the car away with no air filter, and no connected fuel rail, no parsal shelf and no gear nob, worked out well as i put it all on my new 8 valve! so save the money by not decalring!:D

Mate you are getting raped. I was quoted £1300 FC on my 1.4 when I was 17.......not 19!! And under my mums policy I was only paying £350 a year. That helped save a grand towards next year. So 16months later (without a crash, touch wood) I decided to take out my own policy. Now paying £1250 for the 16v, at 18. So you should definitely keep searching around mate to get it cheaper.

BTW first ins company was "Liverpool Victoria", and current one is"Bell"

Oh well since I failed I have more time to shop around haha (major for pulling over inbetween parked cars to let a 4x4 with caravan in tow past - noting it was its right of way. Apparently I should have gone through.)
