Oh, just noticed when I posted that Dazely's are a site sponsor. I use them as they are about 4 miles up the road.

Edit: Realised that they weren't a site sponsor when I took my policy out with them. Anyway, definitely recommend them.

Although i just got quotes over £100 cheaper to have a 20VT lump in my car thn the 2.0 16v that was already in it!

Damn, quicker and also cheaper on insurance. Maybe I'll have to do (get roly to do) a 20VT conversion on my beast ;)

Personally this is my quote, pretty harsh but then again I'm pretty young.

im working for norwich union on a placement year and i can say that the insurance cycle is comin round agen with most insurers puttin their prices up. we were the first n others r now following... sorry

its annoyin cos i see on a daily basis that its young people pushin the prices up... i know that sounds like the same old story but when you see the data in front of you u cnt argue with it. if only people wudnt insure their kids as additional drivers on their big engined cars and then let them take out a bunch of their mates in it insurance would be a lot cheaper for us all!!! unsurprisingly it costs a lot to look after 5 disabled teenagers for the rest of their lives!!

then agen i am only 21 n like to av it occasionally :D jus dnt tell my boss...

I know. When I was searching around for quotes, I got the £1250 quote from Bell. The a day before I went to buy my GTI, I heard on the news that Norwitch Union are putting their prices up. Thought ****, and quickly did another quote with bell (exactly same details as previous), only this time it came up £1550. That's an increase of £300 in 3 days. Thankfully I had the original quote saved so I got it for £1250.But still [:@] [:@] [:@] , makes me soooo angry the way insurance works. Potentially they cant really tell a difference between me and a boy racing chav. So my premiums are insane. But its hard, because unless they were to spend at least a week secretly driving around with you, the wouldn't know what kinda driver you are.

The only people that will insure me is Elephant and Diamond.

I'm 18 and its £480 on my 8v Cupra (yes I am female before anyone starts lol)

Try adding an older driver on, I have my other half on my insurance and he has done the advanced driving test which elephant recognise.

it is unfair but its the most efficient way to do it. thing is if you seperated young people and older people young people probably wouldn't be able to afford insurance and drive till they were about 24+. plus the fact that that book of insurance probably wud neva b profitable! the average loss ratio at the moment for the industry is above 100% meaning the last few years most companies have been losing money.

wot you need to do is sell your cupras buy a 1 litre corsa, only drive it in the day time, park it in a fortified castle, keep it absolutely bog standard and restrict the mileage to 2000 miles a year. oh and have 15 years no claims.......

or u cud chop off ur man hood! (or girl hood hayz) lol

im with adrian flux and i pay 800 FC on my cupra sport
My mate is with Liverpool victoria, they were pretty cheap.

Also if you add one of your parents as a nmed driver on your policy it reduces the price, you still get NCB too

OH... AND I waited till i was 21 to insure the Cupra sport 16v
