Just My Luck - Coilpack?

I have all the luck in the world...
After my recent problems of the car not meeting the requested boost since it's remap, I took the car and a new Forge actuator to the garage on Friday and had to walk 2 miles to work. I left it there all day and had to walk back again to collect it, only to find out it couldn't be fitted as the actuator rod is too thick - luckily I wasn't charged. I call to find out whether I was sent the wrong one even though it's all packaged up as an Ibiza K03 actuator but everyone's at Autosport and I can't find out until Monday
Then yesterday, on the way back home from a road trip, I was pootling along joining the duel carriageway, I put the car into 5th and then suddenly lots of misfiring, engine light flashing and a shaky car, oh yes, I've had this before...must be a coilpack. I had my heavily pregnant girlfriend in the car in discomfort wanting to get home so I had no choice but to limp home 18 miles sounding like a very load and unhealthy Scooby. I hasten to add, why does this happen just as all parts departments are closed for the day and the next day!?!? This is my 3rd coilpack to go since i've owned the car and was hopeful for some reliability after last time, all my coilpacks were 'updated' to the improved revision. If I've done any damage by having to limp home then THANKS A LOT SEAT.
To top it off, I still have a hole in my grill after travelling 190 miles each way to get my so-far uncessful remap done and hitting a pheasant.

Now, regarding the coilpack... I guess it must be this, I can't imagine a dodgy spark plug would behave like that. I don't have access to VAG-COM right now so shall I remove each coil pack one by one and see which one makes no difference? I imagine 2 cyclinders would sound even worse, if it starts. Is a coilpack a dealer only part or to others like Partco stock it? My dealer is 10 miles away.

I had decided to keep the car even with the baby coming but maybe I shouldn't have :(

OK thanks, will do.
I've taken off al the vacuum stuff on top and I understand that after unplugging the leads the coilpacks just pull straight out?
What if Cylinder 4 is the problem? The charge pipe looks like it's in the way

Would I be truly lazy waiting until Wednesday night to get VAG-COM on and find out which one it is? Knowing my luck it will be Cyl.4  I may change all the spark plugs anyway while it's all off.

I'm getting the coilpack from GSF, but does anyone know if they'll do the N75 valves? I don't have access to the car right now so can't give them the part number. Thanks.

Due to budget I've ordered just the one for now from GSF along with 4 Bosch spark plugs which came to the same as what the dealer wanted for just the coilpack.
I've also ordered a new N75 valve (to try and solve my boost issues) from Ted Johnson using the 10% discount as with postage it worked out the same as my local dealer but saves me a 20 mile round trip.
Wish me luck :D

T7ODD - Slightly off topic I know, But I spoke to Will via e-mail. He says if im still having problems after my car has been in @ end of month I can take it back to him to check out.

He is very confident that the map is fine & is underlying problems that are causing the car not run 100%

That sounds good Dan, I hope you get it sorted somehow. Will obviously has a copy of the maps he's uploaded to our cars so can see whether anything is up. It's just odd that on both of ours no faults are coming up regardng the boost even though it's out - your boost is even more weird than mine

After replacing my dead coilpack, spark plugs, N75 valve and putting on the Forge actuator, aswell as rechecking the vacuum hosing, I'll have to see where I'm at then. I might even do the N249 bypass mod too  The only other thing I can think of is a lambda sensor but surely it wouldn't have run right before the map and would come up on VAG-COM.

Interestingly though, the garage removed my actuator to put on the Forge one but the Forge rod was too thick (I've now found out the wastegate lever needs drilling out an extra 1mm from 5.3mm to 6.3mm to take the 6mm Forge rod). They put the standard actuator back on in the same place as before but must be ever so slightly out as it now peaks at 11psi rather than 10psi but I've had no fault codes, maybe because it's still not exceeding the requested boost. Surely this indicates that it's not a boost leak as the boost isn't erratic and it CAN deliver extra pressure.

#I know, its so frustraiting but, it will get sorted eventually, Im hoping sooner rather than later. Im gonna see how it is after Ive taken it in to seat. Im gonna have it all checked over, Lambda sensors, temp sensors everything.

If the problem still persists Im gonna go back to will & get him check it out.

Either way Im gonna get there
