Side light bulb change

Might seem like a bit of a numpty question
but can anybody tell me how to remove the side light bulb.

I have removed the access cover and can actually get hold of the bulb holder
but there doesn't seem to be an obvious way of releasing it

If its is the side light your talking about, then if u can see where the 2 wires go into tha back of the bulb casing? well grab them ans as much casing as possible then give it a slight twist (any way) and just pull, its completly round and has no fixings other then friction, nice snug fit

Hope this helps (try turning them on when replacing top tip to see what your doing

Good tip if your using LED's, but if they are normal bulbs you WILL burn your fingers. They get hot quickly like any other bulb.

ahh yes this could be true, i have LED's
if they are normall bulbs then turn them on still jst dont burn ya self

Im having the exact same issue. I just can't get the bulb out, I can spin it 360 had some some pliers on it and didn't budge at all.

Is brute force really the way to go?

Pull hard, try not to use the wires... Pops in and out easy after the first removal

I gave it a squirt with WD40

popped out easy then

I used pliers to hold the base of the bulb holder and kind of pulled and twisted it out. its pretty hard so you need to be a bit firm.

Pliers are the winner, grab tight and lever them out gently, worked a treat for me

Hi guys, I got it done. While trying to get them out I spotted that there are two clips on the bulb holder, which when pushed in allow you pull it out with ease.

I tried getting a photo to help explain where they are, but it didn't come out well enough.

If you twist the bulb holder so the cables run from top to bottom, then look at where the holder meets casing, there are 2 groves on the left and 2 on the right of cables. The tiny piece of plastic between the groves is actually the top of the clip that holds the bulb holder in the casing. Pushing both in at the same time (pushing one in is enough in some cases) and pulling on the holder releases it quite easily. Though I must admit, pushing these clips in is very fiddly. I used jewelry screwdrivers to do it.

Eliminates the risk of breaking the holder in a fit of rage!
