Hi guys. My name is Ashley and I'm 18 years old. Im new to this and dont know how often I can come on, but wanted to join! I have a 53 plate Ibiza tdi Sport (130bhp) in Black Magic. It has 14000 genuine miles, I have debadged the boot, painted the brake callipers red, changed the headlight bulbs to bright blue (look like xenons now! very happy!) and got some bright white sidlight bulbs. I have had a look at some of the pics and it puts my standard Ibiza to shame! the only thing I have done is painted the brake calipers red and I have a powerflow exhaust coming Saturday so should hopefully make it sound better! I will try to take some pictures and post them when i can. I dont know when I will be on again as have a lot of college work to do! oh and btw, my headlights are running condensation inside. I've been to Seat and they are meant to be letting me know if i can get them changed under warranty. Is this a common thing? dried them out with a hair drier but I think that a seal must be cracked cos its as bad again by the same time next day! [:@] will be on soon hopefully!

On the back of the headlights are two covers which you unlip to change the bulbs i drilled about half a dozen 1mm holes in the edge between the reinforcing ribs then put them back on just lets the damp air out and they have been fine ever since will try and remember to take some pics tommorow so that you can see what i mean.

Hi Ashley, and welcome, you got a good base car there ;) remap it :d

As for the headlights, take the covers off, drive the car around for a day, with the lights on, and then whilst the covers are off, drill maybe 5-6 holes in the case, this should solve the problem matey.

Oh and if you feel flush, check out these bad boys ;)

Welcome to SCN Ashley. :)

I'm driving an 06 TDi FR (Brand new June 29th 2006).
My headlights are being thought about by SEAT HQ for a possible warranty claim/change.
Get comfy the wait is long and the response may not be a "cure all".

Don't worry about how often you visit, pretty much all folks on SCN are patient, , try to give good advice and just want to help. ;)

Great car by the way, bet it's awful to keep clean. :D

Guy.

Yeh, it was a while before Christmas I went to them and still nothing! Will drill holes in like a couple of guys have recommended. It is a PIG to keep clean but is SO rewarding when it is! Looks mint when polished...til i rains! talk soon.
