Roll cage

Bunnin

Stealth machine
Ive recent considered stripping out the back seats n boot and having a roll cage or subframe put into the car. I drive a 1.8T mk4 beeza FR

1) To stiffen the whole chassis
2) To reduce weight

Has anybody atempted this in there Seats or Beezas ? feedback, knowledge or info would be great

Cheers Bunnin

You've not got hardly any sound deadening so thats a good start.

Carpet, trim, rooflining, (keep front door cards) and anthing you dont practically need; MK4 Ibiza wieghs 1300 odd KG so you've got you're work cut out!

most of this you'll have to take out to fit a cage

Stiffening side I'd get a nice cage with subtantial bracing - seem welded shell etc

All depends how hardcore you want to go:)

Not being funny, but I suspect a lot of insurance companies won't insure you if you have a roll cage in the car...
