why is it that things always **** up at the same time? ive had my cupra for about 6 months now never had any problems until last week, first the battery died ok easy to sort out £35 all done, a day later the bloody clutch pedal box busted ok 65p and some mig welding later all done working nice again, today pull off my drive and there a nice banging noise from under the car when on low revs checked it out and its the exaust i think probably only a rubber gone or something so should be easy to sort out. just pissed off its all gone wrong within a few days, oh and im stuck with the ecp warning light on probably the bloody clutch sensor and the airbag system warning light (i took the drivers seat out). im scared to drive it now incase something worse goes tits up, anyone else got a sunday morning rant?[:@] [:@] [:@] [:@] [:@] [:@]

I don't know about that, I blame the German engineering :-o :ban:
The thing is, I'm 28 and my dad still knows best :cartman:
However, I don't think I'll ever be able to not modify a car.
I've just spent £92 on parts in the effort to sort mine out but I still have £46 to spend on new honeycomb grills (thanks to a pheasant) and £22 on a bump strip as the clips are rubbish

Edit: Not forgetting the £101 Forge actuator bought to try and get to the bottom of my boosting issue and the recent outside temp sensor which still isn't working properly lol.

So you've spent about 40 quid fixing it? Lucky you.

I've had 3 mafs, 5 coil packs, 1 N75, pads, discs, gaskets, temp sensors (outside and coolant), window regulators, top mounts, bearings (wheel and top mounts), floor mats, injector seals......... and i'm yet to get the cambelt done.

you shouldnt have said that it tempting fate i bet ill get a biggie next. any ideas on how to get rid of the warning lights though?

Any back street garage should be able to clear them for you with a hand hand held diognostics machine... thats how ive had mine done cost me a tenner.
