i am no longer confused!! :funk: :funk:

after reading gazjones's timeline thread, i realised after looking at one of his pictures that i had attached the hose to the wrong bit at one end, meaning hat the unit was sucing in air from the engine bay and not from the hose. i switched the hose round, and after a day or 2, the light is now off!! :clap:

just hope the light stays off now! so much for the mechanic's at seat noticing it!! :banned:

which hose was it that was wrong tried looking in your first pic but couldnt see it but glad you got it sorted hopefully

dunno how well you can see it, but this was the pic that made me realise. have roughly drawn what i had done, but basically, instead of the hose going down into the valve it should, i had it bent sideways into another valve piece!! hope that makes some sense!

that is a mounting bung lol big oops that valve if i remember controls the cold sgtart or something similar well hopefully the light should stay off! i would think so
