Seems to be hit and miss really, some say there fine when fitted others say they dont fit, either way i dont think i would be willing to risk that type of money to gamble on a clutch fitting.

Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and pay the higher price, rather than trying to save with a cheaper alternative which has a dodgy reputation.

On reading the links it seems to me that they have supplied the wrong part rather than a poorly built unit to the Nissan guy. They wouldn't just make it wrong as they would not get through the trade descriptions etc. and they would all come back. As for removing pegs that don't line up ? Not a chance! They are there for a reason.

What would worry me more is the attitude of the supplier. It was so bad that I would not buy from them no matter how good or cheap the item was. The bloke is scum for treating people this way once he has their money and doesn't deserve to stay in business.

Stick with reputable suppliers and if things go wrong they'll be keen to resolve the issues working with you and not against you.

Indeed. I flogged out £600 on my kevlar clutch from JBS, but I knew that it will probably outlive my engine itself. Rating of 400 lb/ft too. Would sooner pay 3 times as much for peace of mind and consistent reliablity than save a fair bit and end up splitting my engine & box again pretty soon.
