So do you think jabba should of adjusted it to request less? if they had have dialed the actuator and then set it to request less surely it wouldnt spike at 27psi, bet it was fun, but costly if it goes bang

From how I read it, Jabba have tried to reduce it as much as possible, as the N75 table values to control for a static actuator of 20psi would be very different to the "norm" mapped k03s car.

of course, not slating their way of mapping, it was meant as a question not a statement :)
So can i ask what you would have done if that setup was brought to you for a custom code?
I was going to get an actuator but sounds like they arent neccesary for a k03s

I only got a Forge one because I think my OE one might be knackered and you can't buy OE actuators from the dealer. Since the actuator is a factor in the process of elimination as to why my car isn't meeting the requested boost, I don't want it to mess it up even more or overspool the turbo to meet the boost if it's something else (if that's possible). Will it need setting up on the car and testing with VAG-COM etc? Maybe I ought to contact Forge before its fitted, maybe it comes 'pre-set' but without a rolling road, I imagine it will be a nightmare.

I was'nt questioning JS mapping either, as I know mikeT is damned good at what he does. I can sympathise with him tho when he see's cars which have assorted "bits" on them for a regular remap and then has to struggle to overcome mismatch in parts. Its got to be frustrating.

What you will get from anyone trying to map a k03s on a 20psi actuator is a very limited range of n75 control and progression is going to be limited, so trying to stop it spiking is going to be tricky.
I know in some instances higher pressure actuators can be used to stop the wastegate from blowing open when there are very high manifold pressures, but 20psi is too high even on BT conversion let alone a little k03s.

what remains to be seen is how a std actuator works with how it was originally mapped. suk it and see i would say.

i would, if worst comes to worst and you do need to go back down their, at least you know it wont be another 500 odd quid for another map, you will just pay mapping labour on however long it takes, £60 an hour iirc
only spoke to them last week regarding it
