2 Questions for you lovable bunch...

1. When put my foot down in my 99 plate V5 it seems to hesitate/misfire at around 3.5 to 4K revs... When I bought the car about 3 weeks ago I was told by the (none Seat) garage that it had been fully service etc...

2. My rear passenger side footwell seems to enjoy pretending to be a swimming pool... Been told by the garage that this will simply be a blocked dranage hole and will be covered by the cars warranty ?? . I have checked the door rubbers and these all seem as good as new. Problem is it seems to steam up the car when left for 20 min or more !!!

3. Anyway of redding the Alcantera (spl) of the bobble effect ??

Really appreciate any help with the above...

Oh and here is my car.. Totally standard for now as it was a choice of new wheels/suspension or buying a Siberian Husky !!

And Bowie the dog.... Not quite 18's I know !!

Hi

THe garage probably lied about the servicing..... but 5 new plugs will see you back on the road again misfire free - probably....

The water leak is down to the seal design, not warranteeable on a T plate car though... but there's an easy modification to fix this... http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=44216

No idea on the alcantara.... stop rubbing your bum on it? ;)

Cheers bud....

Warranty wise the garage provided 12 months so maybe covered ???

Misfire wise I did think it would be the plugs as I kinda remember as similar thing on my VR6.... Any reconmendations with regards to plugs ??

Oh and cheers... I get on the 'fat fighters' course at my local commy centre !! :D

Hi Stoney,

You might want to get the MAF checked with your local independant garage as i had a similar problem last week:censored: , the car was hesitating on acceleration and it turned out the MAF had started to fail.

A quick diagnostic, new part and an hours labour charge and the V5 was back on the road running as smooth as before.

I had exactly this problem on my 1.8 20v and it was the MAF. DO NOT replace the battery before you get it fixed or the car will die on you!
