Some w**ker has driven into my car when it was parked at the shops today damaged the front wing just above the wheel. can't feckin beleive it 2 small scratches and quite a big dent. dunno if it will need a new wing or if it will pop out its right on one of the swag lines though so mite be a difficult one. anyone have any idea's on how much a new wing would cost if the worst came to the worst.

Lovely how people treat your things isnt it!
Maybe worth getting chips away or sim over to have a look to see what they can do? As i was watching wrecks to riches the other night and couldnt belive the dent they fixed, right on a body line too

Our FR sustained similar damage 10 days into owning it. It was parked in the NHS carpark (it's where my girl works, it's her car), dent master got it out. There was aslo a gouge out of the bumper.

It's gauling isn't it....

I know how you feel, I had some similar damage to my old Leon while it was parked, although without the paint damage; fixed by Dent Devils for £75.

The guy did an amazing job, if you didn't know it was there you would never know!

From your picture I would say you hopefully won't need a new wing.

Yello,

Don't want to seem too negative but that looks a difficult dent to get out. As you say it is right on the crease :(
Looks like it may have been a 4x4 at that height (I have my views here which will remain :censored: if you know what I mean).
I feel gutted for you.....I had a similar experience with my last car when it was 3 months old, it really takes the shine of your pride and joy. I hope you get a showroom quality fix for it.

Luckily the paint remained intact. The repair is visible though.

dentmaster charged 75 cash in hand (twice that with receipt). he had to re-instate the swage line in the wing. it took him ages. the dent was exactly like that above. no broken paint tho, as i say.

Have a proper repair done, the paint is broken.. Bite the bullet, pity there were no witnesses.. You'll live with it better if you have it done properly.

I agree. I want ours repaired properly next year when we get the thing modified (coilovers, chip, bushes......proper repair).

One of the idiot builders across the road drove his Vito into the back bumper of mine, peeling a load of lacquer off. The worst thing is that water got between the lacquer and mapint, so I can see it all peeling off soon!

I share your pain mate!

Dent master chips away etc will be able to remove the dent, but you will need the wing blowing over some of the call out types doo that too dependant on the weather. You need to go to a proper body shop, but try to see some of their work first and check very carefully your repair before you pay, I was in the trade and have seen some shocking repairs...!

In my LeonFR 2.0 TDI
this really makes my blood boil!!!!

there is now a class of people that have absolutly no concept of respect or value; they just put no value to they're own assets or other peoples assets, it really is sad, the same class also seem to have multitudes of children, that seem to think your garden is a football pitch and your car is a goalmouth. then argue the toss when you go out and tell em to f off, "no i wasnt" "prove it", "i saw you do it" "no you didn't" etc, f-ing execute them!

you've f-ing wound me up now, grrrrrrRRRRRrrrr :)

p.s. i hope its reletivly painless on your wallet

Quotes

Had a variety of quotes ranging from 100 to 200quid the 200quid guy reckons he needs to blow over the door to get a good match but with the car being almost new and a solid colour i can't see it needing that. the guy that did my exhaust does alot of work for the dealer seems the best bet he thinks 100-150 so will go for that not to bad considering it needs a coat of paint shouldn't have had to spend that though[:@]

New and solid paint wont make a difference, i take it you mean because its new it shouldn’t be different/faded etc? Basically yellow is a bitch to match so to make it blend you have to paint larger areas. I thought when I got mine it would be easy to touch up small stone chips etc, but after speaking to a few mates in the trade I found out yellow is very hard to match!

yeah i know it would need a bit of matching but not as much as a metalic paint this bodyshop reckons it needs resprayed up to halfway along the rear door which i think is a bit extreme. maybe wash it in up to the front door anyway this other guy has done a yellow leon before he did the kit on the yellow one bickets had in so he's colour matched the new one before.

To get the stone chips done on my bonnet and one or two on the front bumper they need to blend into the wings and a bit of the door ( all said into the wings and some said into the door as well).
