Trenton Seat are in Hull - never had a problem with them when taking my Ibiza to them a year or so ago.

Stay as far away from Nidd Vale in Harrogate as you can. I know them for a few reasons - they are a customer of ours and also both the wife and I have bought our cars from there (1 Leon Cupra and 1 Ibiza FR). I bought mine last December and the wife bought hers in June.

The sales team are very good, but the service team is appalling. Both of us have repeatedly taken the cars in, left them for 2 days and them give us them back with nothing fixed.

Also had car come back with scratches on it.

Once tried talking to MD (who was there for the purchase of both vehicles because he wanted to tell us good customer service was key) in order to lodge a complaint but got told he doesn't speak with customers!!!! I was trying to complain about having to pay for a new clutch after 10k and 8 months!

They also replaced a part on the wifes car (which admittedly we may have bust) without telling us the price. We asked for a quote if it wasn't warranty as it was a bit grey. When we got back they said "replaced the pipe, £90 please". Eventually bartered them down to £30.

Wife took her new car in the other day as the headlamp washers don't retract. They gave it back after two days and said they had ordered 1 washer from Spain and that the delivery "would take some time". When questioned why they ordered 1 when both don't work they said "ooh, good point. Maybe we should order the other one as well."

STAY AWAY!!!

I think they scratched mine too, but I don't have any evidence so there you go. Friendly service but not at all effective. Went to Richard Alexander with a leak that Nidd Vale took four attempts to try and fix, and the difference is night and day. I got a full explanation of everything that had been done, why they hadn't fixed the other issue and what they planned to do next.

They actually said that a lot of the work they get is rectification work from other dealers who have done poor work (mentioning no names). I'd go along with this from my experience... (mentioning no names). It's just so much better when a dealer listens to you and tries to help you, as opposed to doing what they want to do.

Have to agree I have had 3 cars off these in the last 5 years, excellent service, based on personal experiance, would recommend them to anyone.

Trenton's in Hull have been fine with me for servicing and parts etc. Often depends on folks who are there - and if they are still there the next time you use them!
