The problems go on and on with the old 8 valvers

My new problem.......
Turn engine over, starter motor has a little stutter and the clocks all reset as if the batterys been disconected. :wtf: After that it starts fine. Starter motor buggered? Something else?

Add this to my intermitent starting problem which seems to be moisture related and my cracked windscreen........i am not a happy bunny :( :(

How much did you pay for said part?

Just had a good thought, there should be a sticky. 'It wont bloody start again' get everyone to list there problems and solutions.

£10.80 from local VW dealer....

you can search for the PN yourself ;) or just have a look at your fuse box under the steering wheel and pull out the big one with '30' on the top, take to VW counter and say "one of these please...." ;)

Cheers mate, ill ring GSF first before i tackle the local friendly dub dealer ;)

also had to reset the clock every time I started her up... put new battery in last thursday afternoon.. went for spin.. never touched it untill sunday (as I was playing with the Audi..;) ) **** STILL spot on.. started on the button... ran lights heater cd player.. everything while i was in it left her last night... just been for a 'nip to the shops ' with the missus.. heater on (nipple alert ;) ) lights on, cd player on (background noise..) not a problem.. AND the clock is spot on still !!
