Why don;t we organise an SCn arm wrestling tournament to sort it out once and for all  :cartman:

I vote we tie a rope between an LCR and a Type R . . get them to pull away in opposite directions

We SHALL sort this matter once and for all!

ive got a standard LC tdi and my mate has a civic typr r, there isn't much in them really, off the mark the CTR is a bit quicker but once you get them both rolling there's nothing in it really!! (must be my superior driving skills) lol

also another mate of mine has a 306 xsi - i feel sorry for him because he used to think his car was quick and anything with a deisel engine was basically a glorified tractor

he learnt the hard way when i gave him a complete whipping in my LC Tdi

yep i'd say it were pretty conclusive!!

obviously don't know the specs of each car and no doubt ctr owners will say it's been chipped etc but still...

197bhp, 1200kg ish but only 145lb/ft torque.

On a track, they will be all over a LCR. In the real world the LCR will have the edge and in a straight line duel I'd again expect the LCR to take it.

It's only got 145lb/ft when it's v-teching, it's got about 135lb/ft before v-tech

I had a go with one of the lads from work - left him for dead! However, he did say that the engine is limited to 5000rpm until it's warmed up...

Yep :D you can not v-tec until the engine is warm.. then you can v-tec but it's not as powerful until all the oil etc is at the correct temps... tends to be how a lot of them get beaten... people don't fully understand the engine.. even the CTR owners.

About once every 2 months we have a 20 pages thread on here discussing this which ends up with people getting their c0cks out and measuring them to see who has the largest.....

I've got an LCR 225 and the missus used to have a CTR. When I got my c0ck out it was definitely larger than her's. :p

But that's like saying a LCR has little torque before the turbo kicks in, and it's only got 2**lbs/ft afterwards. VTEC is as important to the CTR as the turbo is to the LCR.
