LCR service - Worcestershire

My LCR will be due its 4th annual service (only 34K miles though) soon.

Are there any specialists in Worcestershire that I can take it to?

Otherwise, I'm willing to drive down the M5/up the M6...

Any recommendations?

Sorry about the late reply.

I'ev finally managed to find a decent Midlands SEAT dealer which has actually listened to me and repaired my fan fault with no question. I ended up going to Listers SEAT in Coventry, as Amethyst in Cheltenham (who did actually seem to do a good 40k service) would not entertain that there was a problem at all, and Droitwich Garage would not return my call after 3 attempts!

Might be over 100 mile round trip but the customer service is miles better than the other 2 locals IMO.

Heard some good things about them too, but didn't get a call back when promised......admittedly they did claim they were having problems with their phone systems but still, its been almost a week and nothing!

Is it just me or does the OP say he want to take it to an independant, as at 4yrs will be out of warranty anyway so why pay extra for a dealer?

I bought my LCR from Listers and its had a couple of minor warranty issues but the customer service was shocking on all 4 visits. Very nice while making the sale, just dont let them "wash it" or "test drive" if you leave it with them. Carefully check it in and out.

True but the 4th line down says

I heard Hereford were excellent, courtesey cars, collection and delivery service, good at keeping you informed as to what was going on etc etc....... all the benefits you should get paying dealer prices

it doesnt say independant, it says specialists...

oh and you dont have to service at a dealer to keep your warranty. a vat registered garage is sufficient. (using oem parts i think)

I'm happy to take it to a dealer or an independent. Just looking for somewhere that's going to treat my motor with respect and not try and rip me off!

Car is booked in at Bay Horse Motors in Hereford for Friday.

£217 for a 40K service; decent price I thought.

People I spoke to on the phone were very helpful.

I shall report more post-service!

Well, the LCR had its 40K service today...

Must say I was well impressed with Bay Horse Motors in Hereford.

Kept me well informed, phoned me a few times to ask permission to carry out some extra work.

Was £300 in total (£217+vat for service, other £83 was brake fluid change, fuel filter change, 2 new indicator bulbs...)

Car is running like a dream!

Will be back there next year for the 50K!
