I don't know if you know this or not but I need to say it anyway to form my post but I hear from another forum that it is likely ORECA will not be with SEAT next season and it looks like it may be a season with support from national dealers if the can agree a package.

On the car/driver front it looks like SEAT will go to a 4-car team with all drivers except Gabrielle and Yvan (who are in contract) looking like heading for the exit door. As far as exits are concerned it seems from touringcartimes.com Tom Coronel from GR Asia will replace Rickard Rydell in the fourth SEAT seat who looks of to Aston Martin in the GT's after talk he may go to JAS with Dirk Muller. It seems they don't have enough funds to keep RR but do have enough in the budget to keep Tom.

Does anyone have any extra info regarding the future of SEATSport in the WTCC next season?

Coronel & GR Asia were told they'd not be eligible to run for privateer points in 2007 if they entered - so that would make sense

I can see SEAT holding on to Jordi Gené, only for the fact he's the Spainish driver, and it looks good with the home side. But we'll have to see, as you say Muller and Tarquini are still under contract.

Thommo unless he can find another full time drive in WTCC, i'd expect to see him back in the BTCC, hopefully alongside Plato for a full season.

I am going to have to try my hardest to remember these teams for next season but what if Thommo went to either Polestar Racing or Flash Engineering? Polestar and Flash who are Swedish Touring Car teams are looking to do a few races in the WTCC and I was wondering if it is possible for do to the WTCC what he did to the BTCC last season? Run fulltime with SEAT and do the few rounds with either Polestar or Flash?

Both teams look like being the first to rub Bioethanol in the WTCC but whereas Polestar look like running their Volvo's, Flash look like running their BMW 320i's.

If the option presented itself, im sure Thommo would want to stay in WTCC, but he'd want to do a full season. Part season in WTCC wouldn't really serve his purposes i doubt. Its a title he wants to win, you can't do that only appearing for a few rounds.

BTCC was a different scenario this year, he was employed by SEAT Sport UK to support the UK effort, his goal was always the WTCC though.

Just as a bit of fun of all the possible teams which would your favourite team for him to go to?

I wouldn't mind putting a little bet on JAS. JAS look like having an increased presence and I think driving an Accord will represent a new car (I don't remember Thommo ever driving an Accord in the ETCC/WTCC. I know he raced for Alfa Romeo), and having what may be Dirk Muller as teammate will be a good teammate to have.
