Couldnt Install Revo :-(

Went up to silverstone at the weekend to see chris from Weltmiester Proformance to have my Revo installed, everything was going well had the car on the RR with my mods the dyno showed 161.2bhp which i was pretty chuffed with then came the time to install the revo (getting pretty excited now) Chris was sat in the car for a while and i knew there was something wrong the laptop couldnt communicate to the ecu this meaning that chris was unable to flash my ECU (id previously had the trail installed) he was on the phone to mitch and kev from revo and they where fresh out of ideas over the phone , apprently there is a pin that opens to allow communication to the ecu and this runs at 15 Volts and this wouldnt open allowing him to flash the ECU, so now i have to go back on wednesday where the ecu will be removed from the car and bench flashed by Kev or Mitch . so hopfully al will be well on wednesday.

Havnet got a bad word to say about the service i got very helpful and interesting. Chris showed us around the cars in the garage, 550bhp scooby, 500bhp Monereo, 600bhp Twin turbo Monereo, 450bhp 350z, and there own turbo charged exige. (Awsome Cars)!

So even tho i didnt get my car mapped still had a good afternoon, BUT all should be well on wednesday (Fingers Crossed).

there a company called votex i congleton just on the staffs cheshire boarder that does it.

what BHP version do you have?

The ECU can be re-mapped on the bench. Not all will allow communication via OBD. Its not a voltage issue.

If they do what they say and flash on the bench, they'll sort it

i had the same prob ( but with a different make of map ) they had to bench map my ecu cos they couldnt communicate via the odb

?? is your car a Y 01 ??? with ecu number 6K0 906 032 AA

as i was told another Ibiza had the same troble and had the same ecu ???

I have the 156bhp version, thats just what i wanted to hear that they wil be able to sort it on the bench Cheers...

Im not to sure about the ECU number but yeh it is a Y 01, Did they manage to do yours ok in the end?

Weird thing is that i managed to get the trial installed with out any issues at all :S

yeh mine was fine after a bit of tweeking but like i said i have a different map than revo , but should be fine on the bench
