i've done a bit of a search on these coilovers and they seem to be a decent bit of kit for our cars handling performance.

does anyone know how much lower than standard the minimum setting is [the highest setting] as i almost scrape a few places now as standard.

are there any other kits [different makes are fine] that are fully adjustable and also don't lower the LCR too much........maybe 30 - 35mm max, but more like 20 - 25mm being ideal for me.

cheers :D

well my fk sliverline x coilovers are half way down the thread and the car is about 35-40mm lower id say.

if it was at the top of the thread i think the car would be about 10mm higher than oe height!

so therefore imo you can raise the car with FK as well as lower it!

but from memmory im sure i read somewhere it lowers 30mm - 120mm with my coilovers!

i think* so.

you dont have to worry about ur splitter once you lower your LCR!

the lowest part of the car is the plastic under belly try.

i scrape that all the time (along with my splitter!) :(

oh right ok cheers.

the reason i say splitter is at my parents house, their driveway has a steepish incline initially and then levels off, at the mo when reversing down the look on their faces is priceless, as the splitter is literally an inch off the ground and if i bodge it up and go down the "wrong" side slightly it does scrapes or is bloody near as you like to it! :banned:

i was thinking of going 19's then get it on the coilies, but A. i can't any i like that fit and B. i don't want to jeopardise the handling of the thing after spending money trying to get that sorted......

we'll see.........if you can put some points across for the 19's and that they won't ruin the handling then i'm all for listening and continue my search for my perfect wheel!!! :D

the 19s will have even lower profile tyres right?!

the ride is not going to be good with 19s and lowered! a bit too harsh i would think!

just slam it on the LCR 18s u big jessy! ;)

:D

yeah, i suppose your right with 19's it's going to be "35" profile so harsh would be the correct adjective to use me thinks!

coilovers dropped maybe up to 30mm max and a decent strut brace will do me on the handling front, don't think i'll go to the expense of ARB's tbh, don't think my granny driving style needs them :D

maybe some better tyres at change time, but i find the P zero's fine, i had toyo T1-S's on my old LCR and i wasn't as keen as on them as i am the pirelli's - again cal it my granny driving! plus they did wear out very quickly.

can someone explain what the dog bone engine mount does? :hide:

many thanks guys [B)]

My LC is on pretty much fully would up highsports and the car is still quite aggressive looing, nothing hits kerbs or bottoms out too which is a bonus, I think Im missing out on some better cornering though as they are at full extension.

More like they lower an LCR 30mm ish and a 1.4S up to 120mm, if they lower an LCR 120mm I would be amazed

my bad... just checked the net... 35 - 55mm they lower the leon by!

not 120mm!

tho i sware i have seen 120mm mentioned before... it must have said FK coilies can lower CARS up to... ;)
