I am looking to but a manifold in the near future, didnt find too much on the search part.

What manifolds are people using? i have managed to find the atp manifold for a good price!
i asked on another topic with someone that had trouble fitting there atp manifold, but no reply etc. anyone had any problems apart from the usual rusted nuts etc?

cheers

my atp got fitted night before last, total @ss to fit, one of the 3 bolts you bolt down to secure the turbo to the manifold is very difficult

My AM manifold arrived today. I've so far removed the 3 bolts attaching the turbo but i can't get at any of the others. I've soaked them all in plus gas.

What tools are best for removing the bolts attaching it to the engine itself?

Awesome mani bill, superb effort as usual.

does that fit the k03's turbo? how much is that....?

looks ace!!!!

erm... nope.
the manifold like that is for high power levels, and BT only.

high flow rates require high flow manifolds like these. (equal length, narrow angle merge colletor etc)

Given up for tonight, can't get the nuts torqued up with the new mani in place. You just can't physically get your hands or socket near some of the them. There's one i can't reach to even get the nut on the stud!!

Anyone got any tips for me.

Bent a small spanner and managed to torque up 12 of the 13 nuts attaching the mani to the head. 1 is a total no good for now.

In the box i recieved there appears to be 2 maybe 3 gaskets. There's the main gasket for the head, then there's what looks like a standard VAG gasket for going between the mani and turbo which would restrict the flow but my problem is the other one? What is this for as it seems to be the right bore size for the new mani? Any idea A 0r M??

cheers

All done, what a bitch of a thing to fit!!:censored: It's all back together and appears to be leak free, a tad smokey cause of the copper slip.

Away to take it out for a run to see what's what.

something else which will help you keep daves vxr behind you!:D

The VXR has one chance and that's NAE CHANCE. haha.

Car pulls harder (much better top end) and revs easier. The spooling noise has also increased a lot.

Manifold is worth getting IMHO.

Car developed a knocking on the right front while out earlier thought it was suspension related turned out that the studs that hold the calipers had worked there way loose!! 3 threads holding each one on, fooking close shave i'd say. All are now lock tighted in now.
